Preeya's Shimmy out now...

I did post this video a while back, but I was working on Ronnie Herel's show tonight and she passed through and was kinda lovely (and obviously stunning) so I figured I should show my support once more. She played a few bits from the album and they sound like future smashes, don't sleep. Personally I'm dying to hear the tune with Labrinth.

Plus if I needed any more excuses, she's Asian and she's a Gemini. And she's awesome (it's one of the personality traits us Geminis have, don't you know...).

Listen back to the Ronnie Herel interview here (it starts about an hour and twenty minutes in).

Shimmy is available to purchase now from iTunes.

Now I'm off to bed.

Magnetic Man featuring Katy B - Perfect Stranger

This is an album I'm excited about. I Need Air is out now. If you like it, buy it and help get it to #1.

"She said she likes them smooth, likes them smart, likes them cool // I told her I'll be that man, if anyone could I can..." ( c ) Labrinth

Labrinth - In Da Bag

Been revisiting this one today, massive tune.

Ny featuring Griminal and Ironik - Sea Sick (remix)

The original wasn't my favourite Ny tune, but this is up there. Very glad Ny decided not to leave this lost in the archives.

Lily McKenzie - SB.TV A64

Someone showed me this a lil' while ago (the original is one of the aforementioned UK Funky tracks I felt this year), and I was sufficiently impressed but forgot to post it up.

As someone that likes actual singers and enjoys acoustic performances, SB's A64s are alot for me. The F64s get all the hype but people that know... know.

Shani Cuppcake - SB.TV A64

There's a few great vocalists being wasted on Funky right now. No disrespect to the UK Funky scene, even this year whilst in somewhat of a lull period, there's been a few straight bangers (The Fives' It's What You Do comes to mind) but Cuppcake really shines here acoustically in my opinion. I liked the Ill Blu verson of Say Yes but I like her better singing it like this.

"Remember back when I was broke you would fix me // do you prefer the broke or the rich me?" ( c ) J Cole

J Cole - Premeditated Murder

Realest shit.

"If she catch me creepin' out your house she would kill me // is it worth it for what's under that blouse? // my heart would turn pitch black and cold if I split with my girl // if I could giftwrap the globe, I'd give you the world..."

J Cole interview coming soon.

Labrinth - SB.TV A64

Labrinth covering Bob Dylan. That itself should tell you all you need to know about how this guy is built. Pause.

Katy B - On A Mission (Produced by Benga) (VIDEO)

This is actually so ridiculous, it still gives me chills even after hearing it for the hundredth time. I can't explain what it is that blows my mind but I feel like it's filled a hole in my musical life at present - if this is the evolution of Dubstep for the mainstream then I'm down. Plus it's a million times better than I Need Air. Magnetic Man have got a heavy collabo with Katy (that sounds a lot like this) on their album though.

Surely the Radio 1 playlist and a Top Ten UK chart position are on the horizon? Katy's looking nice in the video too alie?

Oh and I need a high-quality MP3. Who's doing the radio plugging for this one? Holla at me!

"Gets butterflies when she sees me in the wine bar // parked hers up then we get in my car..." ( c ) Wiley

Wiley featuring Jodie Connor - They Don't Have To Know

Admittedly I haven't listened to most of it yet, but this is the hottest thing I've heard so far from Eski's Zip Files. Dumb smash hit business.

Raghav featuring Kardinal Offishal - So Much (VIDEO)

Great song, great video, hot leading lady. Raghav's scored the trifecta.

Surely Labrinth's done it again and this is the one for Raghav?

"I don't drink every bottle I own, I be ageing shit // and I got them wedding ring flows, that engaging shit..." ( c ) Drake

Drake - Aston Martin Music

This shit got cut from the version on Officer Ricky's album?!?! This shit? Fine with me, I can listen to it as a solo Drake track, but who in their right mind would cut a verse that hot from the world's hottest rapper who people are dying to hear rap more?

"Which one of y'all got fleets on your keychains, and seats for these Heat games // I really think that you stare at yourself and you see things..."

Katy B - On A Mission

This one actually gives me chills, what a massive tune. Katy's hypnotic vocal, Benga's powerful instrumental, perfect vocal Dubstep.

Eliza Doolittle Covering Baby at Wireless 2010

Eliza Doolittle's new single Pack Up is out now, you can buy it here. I just did, and not just because I kinda sorta definitely have a lil' crush on her. I love this young lady's voice, style, songwriting and delivery, she smashed it on the most random stage at Wireless. Strange spot for her to be but it worked perfectly and the vibe was nice.

And obviously I'm pretty crazy about this cover. My disdain for Bieber is no secret, but the original is a guilty pleasure. Big up Miss Doolittle for giving it a bit of substance.

SB.TV Catches Up With Bluey Robinson at Wireless Festival 2010

SB.TV catches up with the wonderkid backstage straight after he came off stage in the Pepsi Tent at Wireless Festival yesterday.

Bluey plays the main stage at Wireless in Hyde Park tomorrow. It's gonna be crazy. You'll see me in the front row screaming like a diehard fan... well probably just clapping conservatively with a big grin on my face but still, it's the thought that counts.

Drake Breaks Down Album With DJ Semtex

Drizzy interviews well, I hope he hangs onto that humility.

Mickey Singh

There's a long list of things that are wrong with this song/video, but I'm not going to go into them. Ignoring the fact that it's a year and a half old anyway, I won't complain about the irritating grammatical error in the hook ("I don't wanna get any more closer to you" made me incredibly angry - if you know me, you know I'm a stickler for grammar). I won't mention the cheap video or the dodgy acting, and here's why.

This kid is Asian! He's Asian (South Asian to if you're from the other side of the Atlantic) and he can sing. And he's got immense potential. This makes me happy. If he was British, I'd track him down and support him, but unfortunately he's American, so he'll just have to carry on without my no doubt invaluable help.

"I'm in the perfect place, can't wipe the smile off my face, can't nothing bring me down..." ( c ) Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke - My Life

Produced by The Neptunes. I suspect this comment will make me unpopular but Thicke sounds a lot like Justin Timberlake on certain parts of this track.

Great song though, this is champagne music.

Eliza Doolittle Covers Justin Bieber's Baby

Check out the lovely Miss Doolittle covering pop princess Justin Bieber's smash hit. The original is somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me, but I genuinely love this cover.

Ignoring the fact she's a sweetheart and an Arsenal fan, I really like this girl's voice. Her music is ever so slightly too breezy for me, but I'd still check out the album, she's writing great pop music.
